This website was built for a client who wanted to give general planning information to the public. Local Planning updates weekly to the latest planning applications, latest refusal and successful applications. It had to be mobile friendly and basic seo work cattied out so it was Google friendly.
This site needed monetised in order to allow the information to be free. Initially it was decided to allow Google to display ads within the site, which is working pretty well at the moment. Longer term the client would like to begin placing adverts from architects and patrons involved in the building industry. This will entail another update which we will happily carry out.
This was a challenging project. It had to be able to use Google’s geolocation data to perform map searches and also could be easily updated weekly at a rate of around 500 pages per week via a data feed. This was achieved and the owner has already given another project to work on.
